How this list was made
The AI-GTM 50 is an editorial selection, not a survey, not an index, and not a ranking. What follows is the whole of the method, including the parts that limit what the list can claim.
The gates
Mandate. Each honoree holds a revenue, marketing or growth mandate, with accountability for a commercial number, at a company shipping AI into a working go-to-market motion rather than a roadmap. Twenty of the fifty are chief marketing officers or marketing vice presidents, and five sit below C-level. That is why the list says revenue and growth leaders rather than chief revenue officers.
Verification. Every honoree's role was confirmed against at least their public professional profile, and where possible against an independent source published in the last eighteen months: an appointment announcement, trade press, a conference programme, an earnings or funding release. Across the cohort that is 73 independent sources. Twenty-two honorees currently rest on their professional profile alone, and the evidence appendix shows exactly which.
One per company. No company appears twice, without exception, which means strong candidates were cut for being a colleague of a stronger one.
Recency. Anyone who had left the role that qualified them, at the point of publication, was removed rather than described in the past tense.
Why there is no ranking
A ranked list of fifty leaders across five very different commercial contexts would require a comparison none of us can honestly make. Selling identity software to a bank and selling restaurant marketing to a franchise group are not the same job, and no weighting reconciles them. The fifty are therefore listed alphabetically by surname, and nothing in the data, the markup or the interface encodes an order beyond the alphabet.
The five categories
Categories describe the market each honoree sells into, not their seniority. The distribution is uneven because the cohort is uneven: this year's field is concentrated in security, trust and infrastructure, and thin in frontier model companies.

Portraits
Photography is published only where the subject's publication rights have been confirmed in writing. Where they have not, the honoree is represented by a typographic tile. No portrait on this site has been cleared yet, so the entire cohort currently appears typographically by design rather than by accident.
What this list cannot claim
It is not comprehensive: it is fifty names drawn from a field we could research and verify, and there are certainly qualified leaders we never saw. It is not a performance measure: nothing here reports revenue outcomes.
